SUSTAINABLE RETROFITTING OF A MIDDLE SCHOOL IN VARESE

A STATE-OF-THE-ART RETROFITTING

Retrofitting of a prefabricated building designed by architect Gino Valle in the 1970s. The design of the middle school is conceived as a pilot project for the renovation of Italy’s school heritage. The school is in X-Lam wood. The project obtained the CasaClima certification and was awarded the AESS Sustainability Prize 2021. Project developed in partnership with Campigli Legnami.
