A place for living, a big challenge

A project with a strong ethical value and great impact on the community of Messina. The intervention, realized in CLT, stands on 3 separate lots. These lots before the intervention were still occupied by the illegal slums following the earthquake of 1908.

The project “Basile” is a social housing complex more internal, characterized by an urban environment. The main features of this project include:
Urban and multifunctional design: “Basile” is located in an urban context, and therefore is designed to be multifunctional. In addition to housing units, it includes commercial spaces on the ground floor, promoting social interaction and creating economic opportunities for the community.
